Connecting Generations Through the Sky: Steam Building’s Drone CSR Journey in Hong Kong

A Milestone in Community Connection
On March 26, 2026, Steam Building reached a heartwarming milestone in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) journey. In strategic partnership with S-POWER DEVELOPMENT LIMITED and Henrietta Secondary School, we hosted the "HSS Drone CSR Program" (顯愛社區). Under the theme "Technology Integration, Intergenerational Heritage, Soaring Generations," we used drones as a medium to bridge the gap between youth and the elderly.
Empowering Students as Tech Mentors The day was a true testament to Team Building 2.0. In the morning, Secondary 3 students from Henrietta Secondary School underwent intensive training to master drone flight. By the afternoon, these students stepped into their roles as Tech Mentors, guiding local seniors through the thrill of their first takeoff and helping them overcome their fear of technology.
The Heart of the Program: Mutual Appreciation The most moving moment occurred at the conclusion of the challenge. After successfully navigating the sky together, the elderly participants took the stage to offer their thanks. Using a Like framework, the seniors provided "High-Quality Likes" to the students , specifically praising their effort and attitude throughout the day. This powerful validation from the silver generation was the ultimate reward for our young mentors.

This collaboration proved that when technology is used with empathy, it creates genuine bonds that transcend age.
